Metamorphosis

With Ovid on my mind after visiting the show at the Galleria Borghese this month, discovering a ancient bookplate for the Metamorphosis became the centerpiece of this work. The blue of the Tyrhennean Sea beckons at this time of year, and it’s the color I’d like to be submerged in. The overlayed calligraphic abstraction contains the phrase “la morta ben venga“.
