sia nell’incertezza
“sia nell’incertezza” – be with uncertainty. A mentor of mine shared this concept with me, not a new one to contemplate, yet when I hear concepts in my second language (Italian), it is like I am hearing them with a new part of my brain. The meaning takes on a beautiful form with the Italian words, rendering it for me something iconic and poetic. Through ink and brush, on cotton paper, these words take shape and also lose their certainty. Emotion infuses my writing, and it melds into abstraction.
