Print Love | All About Italy & Progress Magazines

Magazines are special to me, perhaps imprinted in my early years growing up in the family publishing business. I witnessed first-hand the transformation blank pages into glossy printed subscriptions, and even designed my own publications in my teens. A collection of top magazines occupies a part of my Studio, not as clutter, but as an archive of possibility, design and visioning. From the glossy lightweight paper, the  unexpected with each page turning, to the sheer graphical beauty of certain titles, magazines are little worlds of ideas.

All About Italy Mag exemplifies this perfectly. More than showcasing Italy’s visual splendor, it captures the essence of that which is “Made in Italy” in all mediums and regions – wood, stone, fabric, food, cars, and more. Printed quarterly, the editions cross the line into a kind of collectible album. Its Italian language counterpart is entitled In Progress Mag. Between its covers, innovation meets intention: stories of creators who push boundaries while honoring tradition.

The publisher, Paolo della Panta, is warm and thoughtful. His entrepreneurial spirit shines through the pages of both these – and the extraordinary annual gala that he hosts in Munich celebrating Italy. Other events and popups throughout the year continue the theme of honoring cultural traditions and innovations.

In a world constantly racing toward the digital, I find profound joy in slowing down with a beautiful magazine, finding unexpected inspiration and a new look at Italy.
