Amy Smilovic | A Designer’s Vocabulary
As a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur, I am constantly on the lookout for fellow entrepreneurial spirits who share their creativity and knowledge with the world, enlightening others along the way. One such fabulous designer on my radar is Amy Smilovic.
Amy is the creator of Tibi, an ultra-contemporary clothing brand that brings minimal, elevated comfort to a modern and highly individualistic audience. Described best by “Creative Pragmatism”, one of the terms she coined in her “Tibictionary,” the brand aims to find the balance between creativity and functionality. The genius of Amy Smilovic is that she created a design vocabulary around her aesthetic.
Aside from the gorgeous clothing and inspiring brand vision, it is the genius behind the creation that lights up my innovation through her captivating way of defining style, not limited just to clothes, but bringing it a step further and modifying it through silhouettes. Not only that, but she also often tackles those silhouettes and her personal style and attitude towards it in short-video formats, such as TikTok and Instagram Reels that resonate for their authenticity.
Amy is an overall accomplished and influential woman, who created a striking brand to observe and take a note from. This is why whenever I feel artistically stuck I look for her and for the fellow Amy-s in the world who spark my innovation and keep me motivated to always seek new formats and creative styles.
