Artist Date | Pasquale di Fabio in Sala 1

Italian artist and friend Alberto Di Fabio has assembled a deeply personal exhibition of works by his late father, Pasquale Di Fabio, at the historic Sala 1 in Rome. This special setting is a former basilica within the Pontifical Sanctuary of the Scala Santa, next to San Giovanni Laterano, and its soaring brick arches lend a quiet reverence to everything within.

Pasquale’s paintings and sculptures swirl with modern, kinetic energy, and yet, against the warm ancient brick, they settle into something unexpectedly still. The space and the work bring out the best in each other, a testament to Alberto’s curation, and to his father’s remarkable talent. This is a continuation of the artist’s tribute to his father, which began in Avezzano in 2025.

Bravo Alberto! I am counting down the days to April and my anthological show at Alberto di Fabio’s DFB gallery.
