Made for The Met | A Silken Tribute

The Met Opera Shop has acquired my custom designed scarf dedicated to this iconic opera institution, one that has figured greatly in my artistic life. I am beyond honored and thrilled to share this news.

My design began with discovering a vintage poster for the opera La Forza Del Destino. The power of the phrase in itself felt it matched the stately glamour and intensity of The Met. To this, I added painterly brush strokes. My original design was in black and white – I intended to evoke the simplicity and elegance of New York City with this minimal palette. I later added a royal blue and plush red styles.

Th Met Opera Shop will feature the original design in black and white during their holiday season.
