Landscape (via Margutta)

In honor of my upcoming exhibit at Margutta Home, Rome, a tribute to this gorgeous street, drenched in tones of orange, ubiquitous on the walls of this city.

Federico Fellini, who lived on via Margutta 110, said the following about Rome and Romans:

I like the Romans, they don’t care whether you’re dead or alive: they’re indifferent, like cats. Rome is the city of illusions – it’s not coincidence that it’s the City of the Church, of government, of filmmaking, all producers of illusions. … And what better place than a city that has died so many times and been reborn so many times to wait calmly for the end through pollution or over-population. It’s the perfect place to see whether the world ends or not.”
