The non-commercial distribution of this book allowed me to keep the cover minimalistic – a contrast to my cover designs for Simon & Schuster Pocketbooks. Inspired by Ancient Roman architectural inscriptions, I kept the focus on typography against a faded Mediterranean red. -CP

Thank you to @rosannafumaiarte2022 for her sensitive and beautiful description of my work and studio. It's not every day that a writer can capture one's spirit so precisely. Link in the bio. Claudia Palmira, Eclectic by vocation To experiment and open oneself to new horizons requires courage. And Claudia Palmira has demonstrated a lot of courage throughout her varied career. Born in New York and residing in Rome, Claudia often travels around the world not only to visit unfamiliar places, but to learn about and absorb their customs and traditions. It’s difficult to classify her with just one label: artist, designer, graphic designer, entrepreneur. Driven by a good dose of curiosity and always ready to experiment, she has gone through various artistic phases. From the idea to the project, from the sketch to the painting on canvas, from paper to plexiglass, from collages to decoupage, through pixels and acrylics, she tirelessly works on every idea capable of “freeing” itself from within, regardless of whether it originates from the mind or the heart. I visited her studio in Rome, in the Prati neighborhood, a couple of times and always got the same impression: a bright, serene place where you can freely let your emotions flow. I felt welcomed and often had the urge to sit in front of the window to process my impressions. But I never had the chance; every time, my curious gaze rested on those circular works, on canvas and paper, arranged under the glass table or hung on the walls. Studies of color, abstract monograms revealing ancient passions, such as the love for oriental art and Japanese painting. Vivid colors and newspaper clippings clutter every corner. Everything seems in order, but in reality, everything moves, in calm and silence. Claudia Palmira organizes her work in every creative phase and follows it step by step: from the primitive project to the completed realization. I was very impressed by her latest creations, made on silk. Precious fabrics with original prints hang on a wall to the right of the entrance, distinguished by collection: Opera, Zodiac, Rococo, and others. Link in bio to read the full article.
